Summer Camp Empowers Teens to Grow, Lead and Thrive
When you think of summer camp, you may picture young children – but the fun doesn't stop once your child hits their teen years.
Here's what to look for when selecting a summer camp for teens.
Balance of independence and mentorship. Teens need room to spread their wings – but they still benefit from the guidance of experienced counselors who provide structure and support.

A break from screens. Look for a camp like Teen Trek, where teens spend four days a week going on field trips and adventures. They'll be too busy to think about their phones!
Resume-worthy experiences. Today's teens face pressure to stand out in competitive college and job markets. Programs like Counselors-in-Training and Leaders-in-Training build leadership skills that are both meaningful and memorable.
Strong core values. Adolescence is foundational for developing character and confidence. Look for a camp that instills caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Summer camp is a transformative experience – one that helps teens build the character, confidence, and connections that last a lifetime. YGBW's teen summer camps offer a safe and supportive space to grow.
