Wow, that went fast. she replied.
I looked at her and laughed, Maybe for you!
Because here’s the thing… it doesn’t feel fast when you’re steeped in it. Time flies only in retrospect. Twelve years of primary school, four years of college, then graduate school, for both kids. That’s a long road. For them AND me and my husband. It’s not just the years, it’s everything that's packed into them. READ MORE

The Longevity Movement Series Mitochondrial Enhancement Ergothioneine
When we hear the words Oxidative Stress in Functional Medicine, our ears should perk up to possibly reframe the words to mean Cellular Rusting. Just like the unsightly transformation we would normally see on metal when it rusts, our cells experience the same level of stress from pesky free radicals. These free radicals or Reactive Oxygen Species must be quelled if our mitochondria are to function optimally. Ergothioneine is one of a growing number of antioxidant nutrients that is now being used to fight off oxidative stress and mitochondrial aging.
Just like most beneficial things in our body, its levels decline with age. But before it’s too late, let us embrace its many benefits. While its primary role has focused on antioxidant action, some of its other roles include neuroprotective, anti-aging, & anti- inflammatory actions. Its long duration of action allows easy dosing once daily making it a logical add on to your current supplement regimen.
