Hi Neighbor!
Every year when we “fall back,” I tell myself that extra hour of sleep is going to feel amazing. It never does. Instead, the mornings seem darker, the house quieter, and getting everyone up and moving feels harder. Even the dog looks at me like, “Are you serious?”
I’ve learned that the time change can throw off more than just the clocks — it messes with our rhythm. Kids who were bounding out of bed last week suddenly turn into sleepy little negotiators: “Five more minutes.”
A few small things that helped smooth the transition in my house:
Get moving. A little morning motion — a quick walk with the dog, a stretch, even a dance in the kitchen — helps everyone shake off that groggy, post–time-change feeling. Movement tells your body it’s time to start the day, even if the sun hasn’t quite gotten the memo.
Bring on the light. As soon as you're up flip on the lights and open every shade. A little brightness helps everyone’s body clock catch on that it’s morning, even if it still looks like midnight outside. My daughter uses this clock with a sunrise alarm.
Stick to the routine. Even when mornings are groggy, keep breakfast, backpacks, and out-the-door time as consistent as possible.
And finally — give yourself some grace. If this week feels a little off, that’s okay. We’re all adjusting. Pour an extra cup of coffee, take a deep breath, and remember — in a few days, it’ll feel normal again.

Wolf PAC believes teaching children theatre is about much more than performance – it’s an education in creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. Our Professional Teaching Artists help young learners develop essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and empathy by immersing them in the art of storytelling.
As a non-profit organization, we can dream bigger and make performing arts education as accessible as possible to the community with all of our programs including Performances, Classes, Dance, Private Lessons, Workshops and Summer Theatre Camp. Through our Artist in Residence program, we bring theatre education into schools. Registration is always open for all programs.

What if education weren’t about how fast children move—but how deeply they understand?
At Gladwyne Montessori, learning unfolds through hands-on exploration and real-world connection.
Our students don’t just memorize; they master. They question, build, and discover meaning in every lesson. From Infant through 6th Grade, we develop thinkers who understand the “why” behind the “what.”
Step inside and see how deep learning begins here.
Open House: Wednesday, November 5
12:00–1:30 PM
Be welcomed by our Admissions team and a school leader in Herron House. Visit real classrooms and end your tour with a joyful presentation from our Elementary students: the “Famous Person’s Day” event, where history, creativity, and student voices come alive.
This is more than a tour. It’s an invitation to reimagine what education can be. And a chance to see what it looks like when children are given space to grow into themselves.
