Hi Neighbor!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of breakfasting with the staff of Main Line Neighbors, a feat that takes some planning due to busy schedules, snow storms, and life in general. Our fearless leader and MLN founder selected Mantines Café in Wayne, a place I had never heard of but was anxious to try. New adventures work for me.

When I put the directions into my GPS, it took me outside of what I refer to as Wayne proper, almost out to Devon, yet the address still proclaimed Wayne. The place was darling and the food delicious. However, upon arriving, I made my typical statement when I drive past North Wayne Avenue, “This is beyond the boundaries of my pride land!” READ MORE

Summer break is around the corner. Kids deserve a summer break, but their math skills don’t have to take one.

Students can lose 2–3 months of math skills over the summer.

At Mathnasium of Exton, we help students stay sharp (or get ahead) with a personalized learning plan tailored to exactly where they are. Whether your child needs to catch up, build confidence, or be challenged, we focus on true understanding—not memorization.

Families often come to us worried. They stay because their child starts to get it—and their confidence takes off.

The earlier you start, the easier it is to prevent learning gaps.

Help Us Fund a Science Trip for Title I Students!

Thurgood Marshall Elementary, a Title I school in North Philadelphia, is full of bright, curious kids who deserve more opportunities to explore and grow. A group at Drexel is raising funds to send 44 fifth graders on a hands-on trip to the Franklin Institute—and to support their classroom along the way.

For many of these students, experiences like this aren’t easy to access. With a little help, we can change that—sparking curiosity, supporting great teachers, and creating a more engaging place to learn.

If you’re able, consider pitching in. Every dollar helps bring this meaningful experience to life and shows these kids their community is behind them.
