LOCAL STORIES, BUZZ & A CURATED EVENT ROUNDUP FOR THE 'BURBS

As a young girl, I learned how to sew, first in 4-H where I was taught basic stitches and how to sew buttons on a shirt, and then in Home Economics class where I was taught more advanced skills like how to make actual clothes. There is no need to relive the terrible terrycloth short set I made in junior high, all the rage of the decade, but let it be noted, I learned how to sew.

Barbara has gentle amber eyes that seem to be perfectly matched to her amber and black coat. She is spayed, microchipped and in good health. Affectionate, adorable Andi was abandoned, tied to a bench in the rain, scared and shut down. When she first arrived at Montgomery County SPCA, Andi would curl up in a ball, shaking with fear. But with time, patience, and lots of love from the shelter staff and volunteers, affectionate Andi has slowly begun to adjust. This lovely looking 4 year old has a permanent smile as her top lip doesn’t quite cover two of her bottom teeth. A compact medium-size, 44 lbs., Andi is incredibly sweet and playful once she feels safe. Choose Andi for your forever Valentine and you’ll enjoy her devotion everyday. Adopt Andi
