Hi Neighbor!

Where does neighborliness begin and end? Where do we draw the fine line between our shared fences or worse yet, those yards without visible boundaries? Add in a common wall between abodes and it could be a tricky situation. The unofficial answer is in the gray, not the green of a backyard. I cross my fingers and hope for good neighbors.

I have been lucky on this front, always living next to friendly neighbors who watch out for my kids, my pets, my well-being, willing to share painters and electricians, but also respecting my privacy. Over the years, we enjoyed early-evening conversations hanging over fences, Halloween tractor rides up and down the street, rotating happy hours when I moved again. READ MORE
