Hi Neighbor!
This holiday season marks a turning point for our family. My son will be missing from our Thanksgiving table for the first time, buried in books at the school library preparing for grad school exams. Luckily, my daughter, my oldest brother, and his wife will be with us for the weekend to keep me from dwelling on his empty room.
I suppose it's time to start getting used to the idea of not having my adult kids around for the holidays, but that doesn't mean I have to like it!
In December, we're embarking on a family trip right before Christmas. It's our way of gifting experiences rather than a mountain of presents under the tree. I'm a big fan of the gift-giving extravaganza. My husband rolls his eyes every year, but I suspect deep down he enjoys my gift-giving. Or at least that's what I tell myself. This year, there will only be a handful of gifts under the tree, and I'm determined to embrace the simplicity. Our new tradition of collecting moments and memories, not material things, is growing on me.
I hope this guide helps you discover some local events so you can create unforgettable memories.
Wishing you a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday! 🦃 We're thankful for you, our readers. We are grateful for your continued support.
💛 With a grateful heart, Regina
