Located on 49 acres across two beautiful campuses in Devon and Newtown Square, DC serves students from PK2 through Grade 12. In these formative years, students grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment founded on our commitment to Jesus Christ. With rigorous academic, arts, and athletic programs, DC equips students to think biblically, live faithfully, and lead courageously.
Through our Teaching for Transformation (TFT) model, students connect what they’re learning to God’s greater story.
|
TFT trains teachers to incorporate “Throughlines” into their lessons. These Throughlines build discipleship habits and practices such as “God Worshiping,” “Truth Discerning,” “Beauty Engaging,” and “Justice Seeking,” transforming the student’s understanding of why they learn. Throughlines ensure the focus of teaching at DC is not just about the transfer of knowledge and facts, but about understanding the context of God’s story in every discipline.
Our Center for Innovation (COI) exists to equip our community with a posture of innovation and to apply the liberal arts education in the world out of love for God and the redeeming work of Christ. The COI provides a space and an academic model of project-based learning. It equips students and teachers with a set of practical skills and hands-on experiences to discover new things and impact real people. Through this program, students have developed businesses such as our student-run school store, coffee shop, and a video production company.
Athletics at DC are centered on Everyday Excellence, an approach of working to give our best effort at all times, emphasizing character-building while remaining competitive. Our coaches work with students to discover and refine their gifts to become the best athletes and teams they can be, while also teaching students to view athletics and moving their bodies as a way to glorify God and worship Him.
Outdoor Learning enhances student learning by providing an alternative to traditional classroom approaches. It enables teachers to better serve a variety of learning styles, engage more senses in the learning process, and help students connect God and his creation in all subject areas. Students in select grade levels and classes participate in Adventure-Based Learning (ABL) opportunities such as canoeing, rock climbing, orienteering, and extended wilderness trips.
Supported by devoted faculty and a caring, Christ-honoring community, DC students are challenged to become strong, thoughtful, and purpose-driven individuals. Our graduates leave with academic excellence and a bold sense of mission—ready to thrive in college and beyond.
We invite you to visit our campuses and experience firsthand how DC partners with families to raise up the next generation of leaders, committed to serving Jesus Christ.
